What is Quadmarket?

Quadmarket is your online campus quad. It is a central place where you can post free classified ads to sell something or find things you need like textbooks. It's a website that helps students find each other. Both students can save money by avoiding the bookstore. There are also other listing categories in Quadmarket such as Share Rides, Housing, Tickets, and Lost & Found. In Campus Events, you can post the events you're organizing for your entire campus to see. Quadmarket is a place that allows you to interact with fellow students while getting stuff done.

Do I have to pay to use Quadmarket.com?

Nope. It costs absolutely nothing - nada - zero - zip - zilch to use Quadmarket.com. We are also students. We understand how it is, and we wouldn't have set this up to make you pay. All that we hope for is that you use the site and help us tell your friends about it. The more users we have, the better the site will be for you and other community members.

I'd like to use Quadmarket. Can I use it at this time?

Currently, Quadmarket supports Univ. of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and DePaul University. We're happy to announce that we've just added Northwestern University! We're planning to add many other schools to the site because we believe that site is useful for the college community. If you would like Quadmarket at your school, please submit your information on the Suggest a School page. We'll add up the requests and try to add as many schools as we can accordingly. Tell all of your friends at your school about it and ask them to make a request as well. We'll notify you via the email you provide us once your school is added.

How do I sign-up?

You'll need your school issued dot edu email address, so have it handy. We don't want just anyone with any email to just sign-up and become members of the site. We want to ensure that Quadmarket serves your needs and the needs of other campus community members who use the site. We want to offer the best experience without the clutter and spam if the site was open to the whole world. Therefore, we ask that you use your edu email address. What if I don't have my school email address?

No worries, your school had already issued you one. All you need to do is contact the school's tech support and they'll be able to provide you with your personal email information at your school.

Can anyone just browse through my profiles?

Again, No worries. We spent alot of time building this system so that you don't have to worry about these things. A browser who is not logged-in will only be able to see some of the pages like the Quad Pages and Calendar Pages. He or she cannot get into the personal profile pages unless the person is signed-in which means that they are a legitimate college student.

How do I post an item onto my quad?

Just click on the Posting Listing link in the header and follow the prompts on the page. Once you've filled out the information, just click submit. Your listing will be posted to your school's Quad page immediately.

How do I post an event?

Click the Post Event link in the header and follow the prompts. Your Event will be posted to your school's Quad and Quad Calendar pages immediately.
